Yosemite National Park

Yosemite surrounds you in history, whether peering into the valley formed 20 million years ago, walking amid a grove of 1,200 year old sequoias or exploring the vistas that inspired the creation of the National Park. Definitely a must see. Hwy 120 closed in winter.

Devils Postpile National Monument

Devils Postpile National Monument encompasses 798 acres and includes two main tourist attractions: Devils Postpile ( a columnar basalt formation) and Rainbow Falls, a waterfall on the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River. The John Muir and Pacific Crest trails merge as they pass through the monument.

Mono Lake

One of the oldest lakes in the western hemisphere, Mono Lake’s most distinctive feature is its eerie tufa towers- mineral structures created when fresh water- springs bubble up through the lake’s alkaline waters. Start at the visitor center for incredible views of Mono Lake.

Bodie Ghost Town

California’s official gold mining ghost town, Bodie was once notorious as the wildest town in the west. Bodie is the largest un-restored ghost town in the west. Wander the dirt streets, peek into windows of homes and stores or explore the museum. Glimpse into the life of a bygone era.


Convict Lake

Convict Lake got its name from an incident in 1871, when inmates from a Nevada prison escaped here and battled their way out with a shootout. Escape to Convict Lake for fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping, and to enjoy fine dining.

June Lake Loop

The picturesque village of June Lake and the resorts along its scenic 14 mile loop offer a range of year-round amenities with the relaxed atmosphere of a mountain hideaway. Many hiking trails lead from the four glistening lakes- renowned for fishing.

Inyo Craters

Inyo Craters are the southernmost craters in a 25 mile chain from Mono Lake to Mammoth Mt. From the trailhead ( off the scenic loop) it is a short scenic trail shaded by a steady canopy of trees.
